NEXTALE Field Recording is a dynamic company that lives and evolves with the times.
This is why it was created in parallel with the non-profit association NEXTALE Foundation, whose main activity is to promote education and ecology.
At the end of each month, 25% of NEXTALE Field Recording's revenues will be donated to NEXTALE Foundation.

Nextale Field Recording
What is Nextale Field Recording?
It is an online sound bank updated monthly and accessible via a subscription system.
What kind of sounds can be found in the Nextale Field Recording sound bank?
All types of sounds, for all types of audiovisual productions.
Some examples :
- Recorded in the field: atmospheres, nature, cities, animals, industrial, particular jobs, type of steps on different terrains etc...
- Recorded or manufactured in our studio: sound effects, drones, etc...
What is Nextale Foundation?
Nextale Foundation is a humanitarian association created in parallel with Nextale Field Recording, which aims to help the development of education and ecology in the world.
What does this have to do with Nextale Field Recording?
At the end of each month, NEXTALE Field Recording is committed to donating 25% of its monthly revenues to the NEXTALE Foundation to finance humanitarian actions concerning education and ecology.
What will the Nextale Foundation do with the money raised?
For the time being, once a year, the money accumulated within the Nextale Foundation will be donated to a charity dealing with education and/or ecology.
The longer-term goal for Nextale Foundation is to develop a more personal action, and to act directly in the field.

What are the frequencies and bitrates of the recordings and in what formats are they available in the catalogue?
All sounds were recorded in 96kHz/24bit WAV, then put in 48kHz/24bit for editing.
The sounds in the catalogue are therefore available in 48kHz/24bit WAV but also in 48kHz 320kbit/s MP3, for a more modest size.

There are 4 types of subscriptions:
- Student: 5 euros per month (requires proof of current year's tuition, no strings attached)
- Yearly subscription: 13 euros per month (one-year commitment, two months free compared to the monthly rate)
- Monthly subscription: 15 euros per month (no obligation).
-School/Company Rate: dedicated to schools and companies who would like to partner and obtain accounts for a large number of people (students or employees)

What do you get with the subscription?
You get the new sounds of the current month, as well as all the sounds already in the catalogue!
When will the monthly update take place and how many new records per update?
It will take place on the first of each month (this may vary by a few days depending on the internet access).
For the number of records available per update, this will vary from month to month.
The number will always be large, but our goal is to maintain impeccable quality.
Will the rates go up with the updates?
No, this is not planned for the next few years. The rates will remain the same with updates.
It is not excluded that one day we might consider re-evaluating our rates if our sound bank becomes really consistent and updates become more numerous, but for the moment we prefer to focus on the quality of the content produced and its accessibility.
